Introducing a vibrant Semi-Automatic Foldable Umbrella that brings joy and protection from the rain.

This beautiful umbrella features original works of art created by participants in You Night’s ScART (Scar + Art) healing program—a powerful experience where survivors turn their scars into sacred, visual stories of resilience.

Each design reflects the strength, beauty, and journey of someone who has faced life-changing challenges, using art as a path to healing.

A portion of the proceeds from this sale will be donated to the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Resource Foundation in honor of this artist.

About the art and the artist:

I started with black, blue, white and yellow colors because of the emotions they represented. Black was my confusion, or ‘noise,’ blue for sadness, white was my emptiness and yellow was used for energy, light and optimism. When sketching, I realized my port scar resembled a butterfly. At the beginning of the class, I was awarded a beautiful glass butterfly, so I decided to focus on that as my focus, surrounded by the color yellow and what it represented. The storm I painted was not pre-planned; it just developed with the three sad colors I chose. I also added purple which reminds me of my dad who fought pancreatic cancer. The waves represent the ups and downs of my fifteen year cancer journey.

I could feel the support from my pink sisters in the room around me, and found the room was filled with positive energy. Although many of us shed tears watching the presentation by Debbie our instructor, I gained confidence to face my scars and embrace them as part of who I am. I now embrace my fight and see the strength that they reprsent.

I would definitely recommend this experience to others and encourage them to embrace each step leading up to the art class and just let it happen, without thinking too much about it. This experience gave me courage to share and embrace my journey. My fellow ScARTists inspired me with their individual stories and art work and warmed my heart. I left feeling fulfilled and content. Debbie was inspiring, sharing her own personal story and bringing along her friend to also support us. Gloria Gemma always takes care of us with food and drinks and their presence as well. Overall, it was an incredible journey from homework assignment #1 to putting paint on canvas. Hugging, sharing, laughing, crying and creating incredible masterpieces that tell our individual stories....that's ScART. Thank you so much!"
