This beautiful umbrella features original works of art created by participants in You Night’s ScART (Scar + Art) healing program—a powerful experience where survivors turn their scars into sacred, visual stories of resilience.

Each design reflects the strength, beauty, and journey of someone who has faced life-changing challenges, using art as a path to healing.

About the art and the artist:

"The blue border represents sadness. The white clouds with black mixed in represent the unknown. Yellow represents sunshine shining over the beautiful ocean. The ocean represents healing souls. The big white waves are my big road ahead and all the copper strokes are my scars from my double mastectomy, tumors, radiation burns and fat grafting.  I am so blessed to be a part of this amazing ScART experience within the SheRose program. As a member of the class of 2023, I am making lots of new strong, beautiful, pink sister friends. There are many memories to be made. It felt so good to get all this out on a beautiful painting because I have not felt whole in years. I felt like puzzle pieces were missing. I have so many scars and a big road ahead of me. The insight this amazing experience gave me about life is to fight, live, thrive and to remember that my beautiful soul is healing. The missing puzzles pieces are filling in. Our instructor Deb was amazing! I I never thought I could paint. I painted my beautiful scars and successful healing has taken place. Our scars show we are beautiful warriors who fought and won badges of courage. I would definitely recommend ScART to others. This amazing experience is making me feel whole again."
