Each design reflects the strength, beauty, and journey of someone who has faced life-changing challenges, using art as a path to healing.

My scars are from a C-section, appendectomy, laparoscopic gallbladder removal, and a hysterectomy. Each one carries a story, and through this experience, I’ve learned how deeply those stories matter. In my painting, I used black to represent the fear of the unknown—anger, confusion, and the overwhelming question: Why me? Why did I get cancer? Teal symbolizes my cervical cancer journey and the healing that followed. Purple reflects my faith and the peace I’ve found, even in the hardest moments. This experience revealed to me that scars are not just physical. We all carry both visible and invisible wounds. I’ve come to see how cancer affects more than just the person diagnosed. Spouses, children, and family members carry emotional scars of their own. Their pain and resilience are part of the journey too. What stood out most was the strength of this sisterhood. There’s something powerful about being surrounded by others who understand—who have walked through the same fire and are still standing. I’ve realized that no one fights alone. Behind every survivor is a network of support, love, and shared struggle.This experience put everything into perspective. Life is fragile, but also incredibly beautiful—and together, we are stronger."
